Hubertus
I was also going to suggest "Christ the Redeemer." The reason being that the more modern-looking churches I've seen before have also taken this name. I never thought about it as a way to avoid having a saint name and looking "too Catholic." [/quote] Okay, not saying this as someone with a little flag, but just as a cranky Catholic...I'd not be surprised if Bishop Brown didn't want to seem "too Catholic". He has a standing order to the priests in his diocese to not allow people to kneel and receive Holy Communion. I've watched YouTube videos of him denying Holy Communion to a woman just for trying to show Christ reverance and telling her to stop making a scene. The Diocese of Orange is also known for having (some) happy fun Masses like the celebrant dressing up for Halloween on the altar. "Now it's time for the Barney blessing" is one line by Father Bailey there, when he dressed up as Barney for a Halloween Mass. Edit: I should add Father Bailey apologized...obtusely, to Bishop Brown for the Halloween Mass later. Never mentioning his attack and insults against molestation victims in his homily, dressing up as Barney, or having an EMHC dressed as the Devil while distributing Holy Communion. They usually just say "don't kneel" during a homily or something. It's a command that I obey, but I just wish they would put the Communion rails back in and then we wouldn't have these problems. I still maintain my serious vote for Christ Our Light, because light does pour in at every angle.
