M.SIGGA
Thanks for clarifying. I was interested in your statement about James Kennedy. I've applauded his sermons on abortion, though I don't agree with his theology. You must know something I don't.
I also think Dr. Kennedy did a spectacular job debunking the Davinci Code, but he is 100% Calvinist in my opinion, and really really doesn't like the Church and it's "errors". Maybe I shouldn't have discredited him though, because I think it's more of an ignorance thing about Catholicism with him, but Jimmy Swaggart can't preach a single sermon without blaming the Pope for some sort of modern day atrocity, and often misquotes to prove his point. It's also noteworthy that Swaggart considers Paul Crouch & TBN, Pat Robertson & The 700 Club, Dr. Bill Bright & Campus Crusade, and the whole Billy Graham Crusade to be totally apostate for it's "friendliness" towards Catholics

M.SIGGA
Yeah, I agree that "they" (Paul and Jan Crouch and company) look like very nice, rich people. They aim to proselytze Catholics. They're "spreading the Gospel to places that most need it" (Rome, for example, and Catholic countries). "A man may smile and smile and be a villian" (Hamlet).
From the POV of a faithful Catholic, I totally can agree, but I also see how they have lead many wayward sinners, agnostics, pagans, and atheists to Christ, and that's why I give them some props. Some might disagree with me, but if someone is a faithless/former/ lapsed/ "recovering" Catholic who was living in mortal sin, or almost going straight to hell, I don't object to the idea of them finding a relationship with Jesus in a Protestant church. If anything, I believe it is a call from the Holy Spirit of them to come back to fully knowing Jesus in the Catholic Faith because all roads point to Rome I can personally testify to this. I hope I've clarified my position and please point out if I'm in error. Peace.
Paladin D
Kim Clement (a claimed prophet) gave a "prophecy" that the next Pope will help bring Catholics and Protestants together. His congregation didn't really like the sound of it though.
Katholikos
I was surfing by Channel 21 (TBN) the other day and saw this guy, Ken Clement, advertised on the TV screen as a PROPHET in huge letters. Yeah, sure. Why should Joseph Smith be the only self-proclaimed Christian "prophet" and rake in all the bucks, even from his grave? And here's Ken, prophesying about the future. Did he claim he got this prophecy from God? :rotfl: Can anyone spell f-r-a-u-d?
Paladin D
It's Kim. There are many self-proclaimed Christian prophets on TBN.
