Phazzan
Virginity is a preference, not a prerequisite, my dear. If I fall in love with a harlot, that's who God has chosen for me to be with.
Catholic_4_Life
That’s a bit personal, but I guess what I’m trying to show you is that not everyone who has lost his or her virginity is a harlot or someone who was with everyone and everything, so be careful when you judge someone.
I should say that I wasn't judging non-virgins. I too have made the same mistakes in the past. I have since realized how wrong it was and I hope that when I do find someone, she will understand that. What I was saying is that I know I will probably not find a virgin, and I am okay with that as long as she realizes the importance of waiting until marriage to do it again. Also Phazzan, I wasn't judging you man. I was just speaking from experience. I too have a jealous streak and it has cost me some great friendships and relationships. I have worked hard to get over the jealousy thing. I am sorry if you felt I was judging you...I didn't mean to come off that way. I was just telling you what I have experienced. Carrie
Catholic_4_life, that was directed at you or Phazzan or anyone in particular. It was just a blanket post to make people who might judge, think twice before doing so. I’m not embarrassed to air my dirty laundry if it might be helpful to others to learn something. And I totally agree with you that your partner has to understand and embrace waiting until marriage to do it again. We’re on the same page there. Phazzan, I understand what you’re saying. We’ve all got preferences.

homeschoolmom
Or, for crying out loud love being single. I do.
I now pronounce you single and happy... You may go have a beer.
CatholicCurlyGirl
I dated a Buddhist, and it became very painful as it got more serious. Right now I am single, and my preference would be to date a Catholic man. I just think it would be so wonderful to have someone to share my love for the Church. I just would love to be able to pray the rosary with my husband and children someday... *sigh*
prov31girl
As a non-Catholic, I would be perfectly willing to date a Catholic if called to do so but only by God.
Lil Red
Still an "unequal yoking". Besides, why even bother bringing up about a divorced person when we are taught that divorce and remarriage is adultery. As Catholics we should know better than to even ask. Lil Red
Ok, I know we've talked about this before but let me say my story again. I dated a non Catholic. We married, in the Church. My brand new daughter is now baptized into the Church. I prayed. I discerned. I asked God if this is where he wanted me. I talked to my Mom who married a non Catholic who converted later. I talked to my Gramma who married a non Catholic who converted later. What it boils down to in the end is what God wants. I truly believe that my marriage is where I'm supposed to be. And, the Church has agreed with me, since we were married in the Church. And, like Lil Red, my hubby now has someone who prays for him to come home. My Gramma says all the time: "Love goes where it will, even if its up a pig's butt" Kinda gross, but true.
that last part is hilarious!

Lil Red
BTW Phazzan, women do NOT like jealousy. It is very unattractive. Granted, some jealousy is nice, but when it becomes "possessive" then you lose credability. You need to work on that my friend. Peace!
i'll agree to that. CreepyCrawler
Date, mate. Here in outback Australia, there aren't too many (if any) practicing Catholic chicks. It's an unfortunate scenario, but one I must overcome and move on with my life. As long as the girl is female, a virgin (another unlikely scenario), and decent looking she will be mine, but she must be able to cook. If she can't cook, she must go, learn to cook, then she can come back and worship me. It's very complicated...
maybe this is why there seems to be a shortage of 'chicks' for you....
