...lets just hope the "catholics" who vote and praise Obama finally get some sense in their heads to stop the bull poo and not vote for him this time around.....

Sadly DS many of them do not see the evil in this or the need to vote him out.

Oh this makes me so angry. The first amendment religious rights were enumerated not to keep religion out of the state, but to keep the state from interfering with religion. That is why Congress is the subject of the clause.

Can we PLEASE get this to the SCOTUS so the Catholic majority can strike it down? Or at least all the strict constructionists? Or maybe everyone will be up in arms, demanding that the Catholic justices recuse themselves. UGH.

On MLK weekend my priest gave an absolutely epic homily about how my state (Washington) is close to legalizing same-sex marriage, and outlined not only why same-sex marriage is immoral, but also all the negative effects it will have on Catholic charities and organizations. Half the congregation looked extremely uncomfortable, the other half broke into spontaneous applause, lol. So many people (read: Catholics) have absolutely no idea of how all of these "progressive" social movements and laws are stomping all over religious liberties. Absolutely no idea.

Oh it makes my blood boil. And my boyfriend tells me that I'm silly to think that religious liberties are under attack in our country...
Is there a way out? Yep. Be a martyr.
Oh fun....
One time I met with my priest to talk about something, we got a little off topic, and he said to me, "Don't go out searching to be a martyr now. You'll have plenty of chances for that when you're older."
Yeehaw.

Exactly.

My other fear is that this is just a ploy to get pholks riled up so that when they present what they really want to, pholks will be like,
"Oh, that's waaay better, not great but we'll take it."

...or they are pleased that they don't have to pay for tuition or their mamograms because "obama pays it for them."

Or all this fuss is a "a non-issue, and they are all more than one-issue voters..."

I can't see anything worthy in this administration to vote for..... they are pro-abortion and apparently anti-Catholic...

what happened to seperation of church and state? Oh, that only works when you're gay and you want to marry your partner, or you want an abortion, or you don't want God mentioned in schools...
