Fiat_Voluntas_Tua
I have an Atheist class mate who has a lot of oppinions about the Catholic Church that are wrong...Should I approach him, and talk to him about it? Should I e-mail him? what should I do...give me some help. He doesn't think Aboration is wrong, that's the main issue. Crusader_4
I would not approach him hostily in any manner....get to know him more if u dont already know him and show him the truth through your actions. And politly disagree with him and prove him wrong in a good enviroment if you can so he doesnt feel threatened and thus no need for defence...its all about approach. M.SIGGA
I'd think not knowing Jesus would be the main issue lol. Preach by example and invite him to something Christian at around your age level, and keep inviting him to stuff even if he keeps rejecting - it doesn't have to be a big CYO or Lifeteen production, even Mass or just adoration would be cool. About the abortion issue, I had a friend in the same situation once in hs, so I argued that abortion is a human rights issue and I used that arguement instead of a religious one and that seemed to work. phatcatholic
maaan, i say--bottom line--if he doesn't know w/o a shadow of a doubt that you love him, he won't open his heart to what you have to say. be his friend first. he needs to know that you are sharing your christianity with him b/c you love him, not b/c you want another convert or you're trying to prove him wrong. so, just hang out w/ him, show him that you are there for him, eat w/ him at lunch and just talk about sports and girls. you can share your faith, but don't really proselytize (sp?) until he knows that you care first and foremost. of course, u could avoid all the trouble and stick w/ apologetics w/ him, but i honestly don't think it will work as well. soooo, convincing him of the reality of Christ will be a monumental effort on your part. it all depends on how much of your actual life you are willing to put into it. that's my 0.02 good luck and God Bless, phatcatholic
BeenaBobba
Yeah, I would strike up a friendship with him. Try to bring certain topics up, and then witness to him. God bless, Jennifer

musturde
Be very open minded. Use different philosophical views and scientific views to prove God's existance. Get to know the dude. If you like philosophy then talk to him about it and happen to fall on the topic of God sometimes.
