250 lbs? You flatter me...

I picture you as a cross between Andre the Giant and Chewbacca, but with the rakish good looks of George Clooney.

You are allowed to take issue with him and his position. Where did I say you weren't? I think it's rude and a little silly to point out that he misused Columbia in place of Colombia. Sheesh. That's a really irrelevant point. Just stay on topic.
Since I weighed in, the topic is how dumb it is to support Newt and how dumb the dumdums are who do. Everyone knows that once I enter a conversation, Charity is destroyed. It's like matter vs. anti-matter.

Well the Chewbacca part is legit--I'm certainly as hairy!

of course, Rexi was younger than this guy, and we all know how charitable everyone was to him when he was posting his opinions.

Show me one single post of Rexi where he ever apologized once and I will eat my hat.

Your understanding of military strategy is lacking...but since we're giving out passes for 15 year olds, I suppose I should just be impressed that you know that we even have bases in New Zealand, even if you misspelled CoLOMBIA.
First off, I'm a bit of a strategist. Strategy games such as Napoleon: Total War are my favorites. What strategic value does New Zealand give? They don't have a military for themselves, but that's their problem. If they're too liberal (As my friend from there says the government is) to have a military, that's their issue. We're rewarding them for being illogical.

I go by the spell check on these weird words. It said Columbia was correct, so I figured it was correct. Who Google's the proper way of spelling Colombia when the spell check says you're right?

No one, so long as you know that the country of Colombia is spelled with an "o"

If you're this anti-Gingrich, who do you like? With these comments I'm going to make an educated guess of Ron Paul.
I'm not as anti-Gingrich as some of the folks on here, but I'm still not a fan. I'm actually not a huge fan of anybody in the race right now.

I'm basically with Ron Paul on the economic and constitutional issues - I think he's the only one in the race serious reducing government and constitutional limits on federal government power - and I'd probably vote for him if I was voting in the primaries, as I did in 2004. However, I think his views on foreign policy are naive at best. I actually lost a lot of respect for Paul over his habit of accusing people who disagree with his foreign policy views of "Islamophobia" and "hating Muslims." As someone pointed out, he can defend his views without resorting to that nonsense. It also didn't help that he boasted of his support for homosexuals in the military. I have little tolerance for politically-correct garbage, regardless of the ideology of whose supporting it.

That said, I'll vote for any of the Republicans running against Obama. This country simply can't afford the long-term, and likely irreversible, damage to this country that will come from four more years of Obama, especially when you consider the Supreme Court justices he will likely appoint.

Obama must - must, not should - be stopped.

But, yeah, the current political situation is dismal. And most of the political "debate" on phatmass is tiresome and pointless, so I'm limiting my involvement in it.

LOL...I feel bad for what Soc is about to do to you...
I condemn him to four years in the comfy chair . . . .

Ummmmmm. Earth to FP, Dr. Ron Paul and arm chair strategists everywhere: the United States has this thing called strategic threat assessment.

Just in the past few months the President announced a global shift in American defense posture. Our entire military and diplomatic apparatus is pivoting towards Asia and the Pacific. This is a Big Deal. It has major implications for our institutions. There are winners and losers. The Navy +100 The Army -50. The Marines are going back to their "bread and butter" of water born assault. AND ... they are beefing up old --and building new-- military installations in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea. Not because we want to be nice to them and give them free security guarantees-- its because we see a giant threat to our future looming on the horizon. We want to keep our biggest guns there in order to remind the Chinese not to try anything funny.

New Zealand is like pure liquid gold right now

Hear hear. I don't like Romney or think he'll win the nomination, but if he does I'll support him and then immediately start repressing the memory. Not that I can vote in the first place. :P

We wouldn't need to do this if we didn't own them money...
