EmJaez
All these videos were great. When the original video came out I felt like something was off but I had trouble figuring out what. It's no surprise to see another attack on organized religion, just a sad fact of the times.

Have you shared the video on your Facebook wall yet? [/quote] His response is wonderful, and I've shared it on facebook and on my blog.

liseski
yeah, the email brought me back, too. thanks, dUSt! the first vid didn't get me really wound up - guilty of being too Canadian, I guess. everyone has a right to his/her own opinion, etc. that man's words do not shake my faith - he wasn't particularly obnoxious - and anything that makes me think, or promotes discussion can't be all bad. HOWEVER, I was gobsmacked by Fr. Pontifex's response vid....and think an iTunes purchase is in order. Phenomenal.
Mark of the Cross
The guy is just making the common human mistake, Generalising! The vocal minority give religion a bad name, while the majority of the religious are the quiet achievers. Many people hear or see the bad things..vis a vis.. fatwah to you and anathema back at yuh, Heresy! kill! hate! blah, blah, etc, etc. How many times have I heard people say they will not be a part of organised religion because of this or that. But they omit that all things that humans are involved in contain these negative elements. It's human failing not religious failing! From the beginning these things were apparent and were part of Jesus mission to teach us to think like God and not like humans. Jesus faced the human failings too. 'Hypocrites' 'Do you betray me with a kiss?' 'Before the pickle crows you will betray me three times!' 'He that lives by the sword dies by the sword.' Yet knowing how even those close to him would fail him did not alter his mission. Among his final words were "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do!" Love is not complete unless we do it all together. You cannot love God and hate his creations- other people! Ãt is not possible to hate religion and love Jesus, this is a contradiction! Religion is the sum of Gods people. To fully love Jesus we must embrace his religion with equal ferver.

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
i can't watch the vid due to lack of credit but let me try and illuminate something. Prayer is one of the religious pillars of christianity(if not part of the foundation along with baptism and christ and beieving that god is all good,at the least these.) Some may not understand that the holy mass of the roman catholic church is there highest/most powerful form of prayer the church has which draws them into communion with the kingdom of heaven, the body of baptised believers, the angels, the saints in heaven, the holy mother and yes God/the holy trinity too. The holy roman catholic church kinda has three pillars or possibly 3mix for the foundation of the temple and they are The holy word/holy bible, the holy sacrements and sacred tradition. And anyhow all i wanted to say before i thought to long about this is, If you are baptised in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit and pray religiously and believe God is all good and that God can do no evil,i believe you are actually part of the christian religion, maybe not a member of any particular church but still a part of religion. And will always be welcome anytime at the holy roman catholic mass or possibly any other denomination or non-denom ministry(if not this would leave me asking why, unless you where on some kind of drunken or high rampage or something similar [the cops would be called or possibly you would get an uppercut or hopefully and/or God himself would drive you out.] but still than if that wasn't a religious<plug> occurance you should still be welcomed there?). This iz just my opinion take it or leave it. God bless you all. Onward christian souls. God iz good, God iz love, God saves JC "you will be measured by the rule you measure with." "be baptised and believe and you will be saved." "and this is how you should pray, Our father whom art in heaven...."(of course there are other prayers but this i believe is the jist of how to reverance god in prayer and as it is is still great to this day how it is,[oh and the our father is prayed at every mass of the holy roman catholic church.] ). Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
and if you doubt what i have said i challenge you to simply pray the our father out loud when you awake from sleep and continue to pray it once every hour through the day and also when you lay down to goto sleep for 28 consecutive days and see what happens.(to the best of your ability every hour iz not an exacta, thought or quickly said to the point to watch your clock or set timer to beep and exuse yourself temporarily from a conversation or meeting etc etc,if thought prayer iz a bit urky for you for it requires much practise to accomplish anyhow or possibly only some have such a gift and anyhow walking away for 1 minute temporarily shouldn't be such a bother to anyone once every hour. God can see our thoughts right, not as an invasive pervert but as a loving God. Like i won't be watching ya'll goto the toilet through your bathroom window coz for peeps that would be perverted but for God loving concern. And i'm sure he doesn't look if the person doesn't wan't him to also.] Ok that's all i got. i probably shouldn't have added that last bit but i'm a bit of an looney at times.
