Jesus_lol
yeah i think if the type of radio playing in an entry level job is a serious problem, you should probably start learning how to be homeless.
Basilisa Marie
I don't know if it's still on the table, but I have two friends that did bank teller stuff the summer after high school and every summer afterward while in college. You don't need to be super good at math - they've got calculators for that, and probably prefer that you use them anyway. If you're able to be pretty organized and keep sharp records, it might be something to at least look into. Usually it just comes down to being able to follow a set of instructions depending on the transaction. And no one expects the line at the bank to go super fast. Might be worth looking into. Plus they usually pay better than minimum wage.
Sarah147
My first question is why are you aiming so low?
I'm not sure how much of the problem is what Lillabett pointed out about "learned helplessness."  I mean, I did take honors math (pre-agebra up to pre-calculus) and honors chemistry, both one-on-one with guidance and help and broken down into steps.  But looking at math now and I'm boggled, it's totally rusty.  But, my homeschooling education in general was sketchy, particularly in english, so when I attempted to take college credit composition, it was just way over my head and I ended up with awful depression and anxiety and had to drop it.  So, though Mater thinks I should remain open about college, I just don't know if I could handle it, the pressure/stress, and the demands of a more demanding career.  My ADHD and Dyslexia also make it hard to pay attention/memorize/retain/comprehend.  But again, I think the key here is to work on that "learned helplessness" with my counsellor and see about that.  Another problem is, I don't think I can manage the time/travel/gas/money to go to college for some degree or something.  And like Roamin pointed out, he has a degree but is pretty much making entry-level pay.__________________As to jesus_lol about the radio, discerners of religious life tend to get more sensitive to secular music and it's almost painful to listen to sometimes.  Just thought I'd explain that.  It's even like that for a few religious and ex-religious I know.  It just might be something I'll have to offer up. __________________
