Peter_Jeremiah
Is anyone else on this "phorum" a poet? I enjoy doing performance/slam poetry when ever I get the chance, and I have written several pieces. I'd like to know if there are any other Catholic poets here. Thanks! MargaretTeresa
I have notebooks filled with the stuff. Mostly it's shoddy, depressing poetry. And when I say depressing, my English teacher who saw the stuff called me a modern Emily Dickinson.
OnlySunshine
I haven't written stuff in a long time, but I started writing poetry in the 10th and 11th grades. In the summer before 11th grade, I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety after a tragedy occurred to someone I knew. It was a way for me to express myself artistically. I still have the folder of all my work. Edited January 6, 2012 by MaterMisericordiae
ThePenciledOne
I've written a bit, started to organize some into a book, but then got distracted away from it. I do mostly free verse, haven't written any in a while though.

Anastasia13
I used to write poetry. That was four or five years ago, for the most part. I hate that I listened to you. What is right you never knew And who am I, but someone whose through. All the times I tried to please you left me hurting like you do. All those days I tried to change me, it deranged me, pained me, constrained me, Turned me into someone new. 02 October 2011 Edited January 6, 2012 by Light and Truth
Vincent Vega
Roses are red, violets are blue. Some poems rhyme, this one doesn't.Take two: Roses are red, violets are purple, sugar is sweet and so is maple syrple.

To answer the question: I like reading poetry but I can't write it. I've tried.
