Sarah147
Virgin mobile pay lo looks good, too. $30 for 1500 minutes talk, plus lots of text, web, etc.
Sarah147
Although people were complaining about the lousy volume of the pay lo phone. Unfortunately, I found out today that even though the readymobile can take photos, it can't send them as that is disabled but I might be able to hook up a USB cable to PC. Also, the email link is disabled but you can access through google browser. And lastly, changing the wallpaper is disabled. But, overall it has the basics I need, and even has some nice preloaded ringtones including canon!! $20 for 500mins or $30 for 1000mins and a nice looking phone is pretty good to me. missionseeker
In my area a lot of people use MetroPCS with no complaints. Their rates run much lower than Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T.
I love MetroPCS. FOr a basic phone/plan, it's super cheap. Unlimited texting, talk, and web for $40. You can get a smart phone (I have an android) for $50 a month, unlimited everything: talk, text, email, web, navigation, angry birds etc. If you are in their coverage area, it's pretty grand. I have only had coverage problems in REALLY rural Alabama (I live in Florida, but have traveled to/through Atlanta, Ohio/Kentucky, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. (and by train FROM D.C. to Philly), North Carolina, Michigan, Chicago, all with NO service problems)
i wish i could get rid of my cellphone
I was three weeks without service, internet, and cable (for the most part I had about 5 minute windows a couple of times), but it was GLORIOUS
Sarah147
Re: metropcs, is the only way to get it and buy reloads to go to a metropcs store? CVS or some place doesn't carry it? What are the phones like and able to do for the $40 plan? Ex. Change wallpaper, ringtones, send pics, features.... missionseeker
I had one that was able to do all that stuff. These are not prepaid phones, they are no contract, pay every month phones. You can pay online, order online etc. the website is down for maintenance right now, but http://www.metropcs.com
Sarah147
Is there a risk of it going out of business like that "pocket" phone company? Edited January 16, 2012 by JoyfulLife
