homeschoolmom
gah... I hated when someone ordered no-salt fries... The whole fry station had to be wiped down (to remove all the salt) before the new fries could be dumped in the bin. However, I've been tempted myself (to assure hot fries) because sometime, I think that when workers are bored, they walk past the fries and salt them... sometimes they are *way* too salty. BG45
I wanted to update with some good news. I got a phone call 2 days after filing the complaint on the corporate website from the franchise manager. She wanted me to explain in detail what occurred. She apologized profusely and offered me 2 coupons for extra value meals at the restaurants that she oversees. I got them in the mail today. It's nice to know that she cared enough to make restitution, even though I wasn't seeking a replacement meal. I just worry about cleanliness so I wanted to make sure she knew the whole story.
Woot! And true story on the no-salt fries. But they really are nice and hot, you just have to worry about someone spitting on them or something in anger. Nothing yet from the franchise owner on my end, but I did get a nice reply (and pseudo-apology) from corporate:
Hello BG: Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's Customer Service Center to bring your recent experience to our attention. First, I hope you will accept my sincere apology for your disappointment in McDonald's. I can assure you that we want you to be completely satisfied every time you visit one of our restaurants. Because most McDonald's restaurants are independently owned and operated, I have forwarded your comments to the franchise owner or local representative for follow up at the restaurant you visited. Please be assured that your comments will be investigated and, if appropriate, corrective action will be taken. Secondly, although we did not completely meet your expectations, please know that our restaurant employees strive to maintain the highest standards of quality, service, cleanliness and value and it's certainly nice to know that their efforts are appreciated. We want to recognize your complimentary comments and thank you for your kind words. Again, thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald's and giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. Customer feedback is very important to us as it helps us improve. McDonald's is number one because of customers like you. Thomas McDonald's Customer Response Center

That, in my eyes, is like they are saying that they don't care about the level of customer service they are supposed to provide. If you have any other McDonald's in your area, perhaps you should visit those locations instead of this one.
I normally don't go to the one I complained about, because I have literally never had my order right or a good experience there in the 1.5 years I've gone to school up here. I almost always go to the two by the campus instead; they're friendlier, more professional, and 45 times out of 50 my food is going to be hot and right. The only thing they usually get wrong at the two by campus is giving me lite ice instead of no ice in my tea. I was just in too much of a hurry that day and they had no line at this one x.x

homeschoolmom
We had an issue at Dominos once-- the delivery took over 40 minutes even though I live five minutes from them. Following the online tracker indicated it was delivered when, in fact, it wasn't. AND then there was a hair on our pizza. I sent in a complaint and within a day or two, I got a phone call from the manager. He offered us three free pizzas, Cinnastix, cheesy bread and pop. So, yeah, we're good. I order from there a lot. MIKolbe
last time Mcdonalds messed up my order, I ordered a McChicken and a McDouble....I got one of those fancy chic-fil-a knock offs, and a Big Mac. The guy after me was all mad for some reason.

cmaD2006
Well I had a bad experience yesterday at a D'Angelo's. I was driving home, and stopped at the same rest area that I've stopped at for the last 5 years (when I travel the northeast). Every time, I get one (or in this case two) #9 medium poket with green peppers (not sweet peppers). The girl at the counter said "sorry, we can't do that, it's all together." I said "can you double check?" She said "no I can't. I've worked here for six months, I know what I'm talking about." I said "so, you mean to tell me you no longer have green peppers for the pizzas." To which she answered "no" -- and I don't buy it. I brought the same sandwich from a different location in November. So, after arguing a bit I said "forget it" and cancelled the $15 order. I immediately went to the D'Angelo's website and reported a complaint. I'm hoping to hear back -- and I can't wait until it dings the manager. It was really a rude response from her. No customer service. BTW I do think that the manager heard the conversation but did not step in to rectify the situation. Geez. Green peppers. Is it that difficult? Grrrr. And they do make the best cheesesteaks. But -- alas, I won't go there again.
A follow-up ... I did get an email. And just got a call from the district manager today (while I was busy at work). I got a piece of snail-mail with a coupon in it.
