homeschoolmom
I wish we had Chick-fil-A here. I think my dd would like working there-- especially being closed on Sundays philosophy. I've noticed that Culvers seems to train their employees well. They are always cheerful and helpful.

the_rev
Back in the day when I was a young kid McDonalds had a Chicken Fajita, I forget what they called it, but anytime I ordered it at the mcdonalds in my hometown, the chicken would often be frozen. I complained on numerous occasions to the local store and also to the corporate chain as well. On another note, the other day I received such superior service at a retail store that I wrote a letter of commendation to the manager of the store commending the employee for going above and beyond what was required of her. Marie-Therese
I work 12 hour shifts in an ER as an RN (I work the worst possible shift, 11a-11p, which means I get all the busiest ER traffic times) and for me eating at work is a rarity. It's frequently close to midnight before I get my first meal of the day and there isn't much open at that hour if you want to get something from a drive-thru. I stopped at a McDonald's about a half-block from my ER on my way home a week or so ago and ordered from the late menu, a quarter pounder and fries. No extravagant order. I was a few blocks away and began eating my burger (driving, in the dark, else I would've gotten a better look prior) and noticed, a few bites in, that the burger tasted odd. I flipped on the overhead light to see that the inside of the burger was totally raw. I was so tired and irritated that I just wanted to go home, else I would've turned around and gone back. I didn't save the receipt or anything. Needless to say, the only thing that would get me to a McDonald's again under any circumstances is the pain of absolute starvation. I made up my mind at that point that they'd had the last of my business. Fortunately I have found that there is a nearby Burger King which has never messed up my order or given me shady service. They will get my late night business from now on, if I am desirous of a burger after a day in the trenches.
I so wish we had Chick-fil-A in MN! I've wanted their lemonade all pregnancy! Culvers was my first job. That was four years ago, now, but I loved working there. I thought they did a good job with training. And we were always instructed to greet everyone before the door shut behind them and we were always supposed to smile. It made for a nice working atmosphere.

And we must view it as such, softens our hearts. In that they where fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God, even though the enemy has corrupted that image to whatever degree, but for them there is still hope as long as we pray for them. I'm not saying that complaints don't need to be vented for such manner of things, especially the egg thing coz someone may be allergic and die Edited January 5, 2012 by Tab'le Du'Bah-Rye

cmaD2006
Ronald McDonald is The Enemy. Pray for him.
! So this must be my week for fast food gaffes. I just went to McD's drive through after Mass today. I ordered: two hamburgers, no mustard. One small fries, no salt (that way they will be piping hot). One Sweet Tea. I got: one quarter pounder with che-eze (and mustard). One large fries with salt. One Sweet Tea. Are they at all similar? Nope. I noticed it once I was on the highway. I was astonished at how long the fries were lasting. Then my right hand reached into the bag and I noticed a small square cardboard box. I quickly pulled it out and saw what it was. Dang it -- should have given me a Big Mac! I was way too far gone to go back to complain ... besides they'd throw out the food I had. That's not good either. I removed as much of the mustard I could and doused the sandwich with ketchup. And the fries? Well they were nice and salty -- good for my blood pressure

OnlySunshine
I'm still considering a report to McD's about last night. I was so hungry from being at my CRHP meeting all evening that I stopped at the closest one on the way home. I ordered the 2 Cheeseburger meal with a Coke. The first one was good, but when I got halfway through the second one, there was some sort of unknown brown substance on the hamburger. It almost looked like they had not cleaned the grill in a while. I tore that part off (since it was only in one corner) and ate the rest, not wanting to waste -- and because I was still hungry. Still, that was rather disgusting to see. I still have the receipt since I used my check card. ETA: I just reported the incident on the corporate website.
I wanted to update with some good news. I got a phone call 2 days after filing the complaint on the corporate website from the franchise manager. She wanted me to explain in detail what occurred. She apologized profusely and offered me 2 coupons for extra value meals at the restaurants that she oversees. I got them in the mail today. It's nice to know that she cared enough to make restitution, even though I wasn't seeking a replacement meal. I just worry about cleanliness so I wanted to make sure she knew the whole story.
