Archaeology cat
How do they work it with bottle feeding, because if I were ever a Mom, I couldn't breast feed due to a required medication I'm taking (according to animal studies). Although, there is a similar medicine that says it has little affect on milk.
they'd still want you to have early skin-to-skin, and you could bottle-feed that way. I imagine they'd also look into a drug that was safe for breastfeeding. My mother couldn't breastfeed my sister because of thyroid meds, but that was over 30 years ago, too.
I suspect it would be easy-going for me because I recall my Mom saying that she noticed some slight pain while in bed, and delivered soon after getting into the hospital. I didn't find out much more than that about her pregnancies/births. For the ladies....
I don't get bad cramping in my cycles anymore; it's been some years since the pain. So maybe that means I would have mild labor?

everyone's different. My labours are shorter and the last bit is intense, which isn't at all how my mum's were. Of course, hers might have been like that had she gone unmedicated, I don't know. Anyway, my predictions: after the due date (statistically most go after with their first), boy, and 6-7 lbs

That's the feast day of my patron Saint for the year that Lil Red drew for me, so I think that would be kind of razzle dazzle. And as I told one of my friends, I still have a bunch of stuff I want to get done before the baby comes. And then she pointed out that no matter when baby comes, I won't have everything I want done. Hopefully, by the time I would have children in the future, assuming I do, hopefully they would have studied the medicine on humans and found it safe. Otherwise I'd be fine switching to the other medicine, which I was on, but I would have to get that more frequently unfortunately. I feel it's so important for babies to have mothers milk than formula, because of the probiotics, enzymes, etc. so I would do my best to go natural. Thyroid, eh? I would think that would be okay nowadays? I'm on that, too, and once we figure out my RT3 problem, I'll really need that energy it will give. I barely make it out of bed before 10am lately. The RT3 and possibly low cortisol have hit me hard. I can see that I really need to get my health in order if I'm ever able to do religious life, marriage, and/or schooling. My doc never said it would resolve quickly... Yet it still surprises me that it's taking a while. He said my issues are complex and I'm out of balance. I guess being out of balance for so many years doesn't have a quick fix. Edited January 1, 2012 by JoyfulLife
FutureCarmeliteClaire
No Therese, since that's part of my sister's religious name. If it's a boy, he will be John Paul James, and a girl will be Philomena Cecelia.
What beautiful names!!
FutureCarmeliteClaire
My Confirmation sponsor told me that when she came home with her first kid her neighbor saw the baby and said, "Girl, he looks like you just spit him right outta your mouth." Hopefully you don't live in a place where those sorts of phrases are common.

MissScripture
Well, my baby will officially be born this year...unless we find a major scientific anomaly, and I have a 20+ month pregnancy! Hopefully, my baby will be born this month!

And I would think it would NOT be a comfortable 20 months! Let's aim for this month! Edited January 2, 2012 by AnneLine
Totus Tuus
I really have no guesses on the sex (I just chose boy to fill in the blank), but I guessed that it would come late and be heavy (meaning 8-9 lbs).
