Sarah147
I had turkey last night, and stuffed pork tonight; with yukon mashed potatoes with stuff in it; butternut squash with onions and cranberries; pumpkin bread; cranberry sauce (whole berry); creamed spinach (yum!); eggnog w/nutmeg and special. What did y'all have?
MithLuin
Shrimp creole, cream of crab soup, green beans, sweet potatoes and a roll. Oh, with hot mulled cider Usually we have a turkey dinner, so this was new for us, but quite good.

cmaD2006
pasteles ... nothing else. My sister decided that she didn't need to eat (which meant that I ate sloppy chinese food at like 11pm when my hypoglycemic self was about to pass out). Still love her though, but next time I'm bringing the ready made dinner.
tamales, with my fingers...on a napkin
DS, I am sure you didn't mean that your fingers on a napkin qualified as a as a sidedish.... (Love tamales, and I am jealous....) I had the stuff ready to cook Roast Beef and all the trimmings! But... my husband worked Christmas (he's a manager at an airport rental car company.... I tell him he'd be bedding Mary & Joseph down in the garage, and offering them free use of the carwash .... he's that kind of guy!) He was soooo pooped he called home & begged me to put off Christmas Dinner until he can enjoy it... and so he brought home bacon CHEEEEZE burgers and french fries...and a homemade Chocolate Pound Cake from one of his co-workers! this made am odd but satisfying meal to eat by candles and Christmas Tree lights! That also means that sometime during the Octave we will have..... roast beef, yorkshire pudding, spinach souffle, au gratin potatoes and some merlot.... and baby plum puddings!!!! And.... homemade lasaga on another day (we honor each other's heritages!) Edited December 27, 2011 by AnneLine
