Prayers Needed

We make sure she gets food bank stuff every Sunday. We had just asked her if they were doing okay for food and she said they didn't have any. We thought maybe the St Vincent people had forgotten to go by. She said they got all that pasta junk but they were out of meat so no one had eaten. She then wanted to know if we'd give them money to buy some KFC. I was speechless. Had I known then that they were stealing Zack's money I'm sure I'd have had something to say.

We dropped off all our guardianship paperwork off at our Member of Parliament's office. His assistant was livid. Zack was with us so he could sign for himself and give his bank account number so the money would go straight to him. The assistant wants to file criminal charges. She didn't say it in front of him because that would just upset him. He loves his sister.

Honestly, I've got my mamma bear claws ready to go. There's a couple of people who are fixin to get mauled.

Maybe it's just as well you didn't know then. You were kind and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Now you can go flatly deny them and not feel one ounce of guilt. smh, some people just don't care for right and wrong.

Prayers for you, your husband and Zack (and her too, seems like she may need lots of them)

Perhaps before you write them off, you could send them som x-lax brownies? Or spike the KFC? No that would be uncharitable. Tempting, but uncharitable. Dang. So much of the fun stuff is from the other side....

Will pray for all involved - and so proud of you, Austin, Zack and all of you who are truly trying to do what is GOOD for her... not what she wants.

I'm glad the MP's asst. sees this for what it is worth, and I am glad they will be elevating this. It is not loving to let her continue to get away with scamming Zack and/or the welfare system.

I think it might somebody (perhaps the MP's office?)also should contact Sister's superiors--religious and/or secular and let them know about her part in this. Somebody needs a refresher course on recognizing this kind of manipulation..... and what healthy boundries look like. My 2 cents....

Mamma bear, get yourself a nice manicure before you go a-mauling. Take care of yourself... and get ready for battle. Yes.

Prayers for you Catherine!
Remember to take care of yourself. Mauling can take a lot out of you.
I would second the idea of someone going to the nun's superiors. Beyond the legal ramifications there are the moral issues that need to be dealt with too.
Prayers for all!

We had such a bad night last night. He was so depressed and grieving that I thought we were going to have to take him to emergency. He's really starting to show signs of PTSD. He was describing seeing the EMTs put a breathing tube down her throat and having gushes of blood spurt out. I am a good counselor, but that was beyond anyone's capabilities. All I could do was talk to him all night. He finally drifted off at 4am. He needs medication but his appointment with the psychiatrist isn't for three weeks. I've got to keep him alive until then. The stress is starting to affect Austin and I.
