I will pray for him in regards to his court date. He has so much going for him right now, so many opportunities that you have been able to help open the doors on. He deserves to have those chances.

[size=4][sup]We salute you, Austin and Zack (with a "K" - just realized I've been misspelling all along.) You both and Zack are doing what you need to help him stand tall.[/sup]

[sup]So proud of all of you.[/sup]

[sup]Special prayers for Monday.....[/sup][/size]

[size=4][sup](tried to edit to fix the size.. .not sure why I am typing in a whisper today..... text size SAYS 14, but I don't think so....)[/sup][/size]

Just got back from buying shoes. I had found out that his sneakers are two years old and have a hole in them. He can't wear snow boots to physed. We went to the outlet place on the south side, so a thirty minute drive where he cross examined me about my and Austin's health. He needed reassurance that we weren't going to die on him soon. He kind of asked real quiet if when he was thirty and had kids if he was still going to get to come for holidays. It's hard to hug and drive at the same time. I guess these insecurities are to be expected.

Catherine,

Zack sounds like a remarkable and resiliant kid. Somebody has done a good job with him thus far.....

it says a lot that Zack feels he can ask you those questions... and of course they would be in his mind and heart right now!

BTW.... It totally makes sense to me that he would ask while you were driving .... you couldn't run away from answering them.

Holding all three of you in prayer.... and glad that you have found each other....

P.S. - how did the Monday court date go?

His court was held over to this Monday because the Crown Prosecutor wasn't ready. When he heard about Zacks mom he apologized profusely. Never bad to have the prosecutor feel like he owes you one. We should know one way or the other on Monday.

Todays the day. 11am Eastern Time we will be in court to see if we get to bring Zack home with us, or if he goes to jail. I think the dog is the only one who got a good night's sleep last night. You guys can be thinking about us around that time.

We got to bring him home. He pled guilty, and will be sentenced April 30th. His pre-sentencing report between now and then will be the difference. It's a good sign they let us take him home though. His lawyer is very positive. His job now is perfect attendance at school and cadets. Our job is to get him lots of support letters.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. I haven't slept in three days worrying about having to leave him in custody.

I will be praying that everything goes well and the courts will see that staying with you will do him infinitely more good than going to jail.
