AnneLine
i can't wear heels anymore last time I wore heels to Mass, i was walking up to the front of the Church to climb up into the organ and went sliding down on one heel, past the usher, past the last pews and BAM! right into the speaker of the Organ....
OH, DS,,, I am with you on this one. Last time I wore ANY heels (and i think they were about 1.5 inch.... I sat down in the pew after kneeling and praying... and as I sat down must have just caught the back edge of the heel with just enough force.... and my dress was a little slippery I guess... I zoomed off the pew and under the oew ahead of me and and the next thing I knew I had zoomed as if from a Mythbuster cannon under the seat into the pew ahead of me, where found myself looking up at a very startled gentleman.... I have no idea what he had been talking about with God, but I suspect I was NOT the answer to his prayers. My husband wanted to just slide under a different pew..... P.S. -- Lil'Red, I think you should wear them for Laetare Sunday and Gaudete Sunday each year.... Wow - how Liturgically Correct! And.... just before the penance services, too! Sarah147
I'm so tall that I don't think I could do well with heels, especially if ever married. I also have poor balance and flat feet and get achy feet easily, so I prefer flats. A friend has nice black, simple, St Johns Bay slip on flats. I'd like something like that. Otherwise I wear my nun shoes. I used to have a pair of slip on cushion flats that had some support and were super cushiony, yet looked great for Church, work, etc. I wish I could remember the brand. FutureCarmeliteClaire
You remind me of a friend of mine... A few weeks ago she wore shoes like that to Church, and my Confirmation sponsor right there told her non-Catholic daughter, "If you ever wore shoes like that I would rip them off your feet, break the heels off and burn them outside." Oh, I love her. LOL.

Which sounds tacky but they are amazing shoes.
