brandelynmarie
I'm curious as to who has relics & what types. Here is a brief description: First class relics are parts of the bodies of the saints, such as fragments of bone, skin, blood, hair or ash, or the instruments of Our Lord's Passion such as the True Cross. Second class are objects that have come in physical contact with living Saints and are thereby sanctified ( for instance, the instruments wherewith a martyr has been tortured, the chains by which he was bound, the clothes he wore, objects he used). Third class are bits of cloth touched to an actual 1st or 2nd class relic. Edited December 17, 2011 by brandelynmarie

brandelynmarie
I was blessed with a gift of a second class relic from an orange tree that St. Dominic planted at Santa Sabina. I also have third class relics of Padre Pio, St. Faustina, St. Lucy & St. Therese.
AccountDeleted
I've never been much into relics, but this one was given to me by a Carmelite nun on my Clothing Day so I treasure it as a memory of her as well as thinking of St Teresa. I keep it in my Rosary case.

AccountDeleted
I used to have what I assume to be a 3rd class relic of Padre Pio but I put it away somewhere (maybe even gave it away) and don't know where it is. It didn't have any certificate of authenticity though whereas my one from St Teresa has a little piece of paper written i Spanish that certifies it as a relic and it has some little seal on it too, but I haven't opened up the paper in a while so don't remember what the little seal said.
