CatherineM
You'd think I was having a torrid love affair with one of the ER Doctors as much time as I spend there. My husband comes home with a flu bug on Monday, was miserable for a few hours, then bounced right back. When he gives it to me, there are ambulances involved and lots of tubes in places you shouldn't have tubes. My next week is going to be filled with ginger ale and bananas. This is the second semester in a row that I've ended up in the hospital during finals week. Maybe I'm getting allergic to school.

MissScripture
Well, at least with the hospital involved, your school won't think you're faking! And you're getting your moneys worth out of those homemade hospital gowns! Prayers for ya. Hope you get better quick!

CatherineM
I finished my last exam about 6 hours before getting sick. I'm currently propped up in bed with a cream soda slurpee, a sleep-deprived husband and puppy. Gandy was very scared last night. The EMT's were very nice to him since he had to be leashed up to keep him from interfering. I just get sick really quickly when I do get sick. With my head injury, getting dehydrated is like an elderly person getting dehydrated. I get altered, light headed, and pass out easily. So I have to make big productions out of stuff. Can't run the risk of passing out and hitting my head. I guess I'm a bit like Eddie in the Vacation movies.

Maximilianus
Prayers. I got the flu once, over the course of two days they gave me enough IVs to hydrate an elephant.

Luigi
Stop by the hospital business office before you leave - see if they'll give you frequent flier miles or something.

CatherineM
My husband says the whole thing is a payment for having taken one of his schizophrenic friends out shopping right before it happened. This guy is the poster child for the crazed schizophrenic stereotype. When we had just been married two weeks, this guy went off his meds and left phone messages that he was going to come over and kill Austin. He is a black belt in karate, so when the police went to pick him up, he kicked a Mountie and went to the hospital for an 8 month vacation. So, remember no good deed goes unpunished.
