immaculata
We have tornado drills at schools in iowa, do you guys that live in places w/ other "natural disasters" have drills for them?
Yeah, we have tornado drills at school, where everyone has to crowd into the locker rooms downstairs.. We had one a few weeks ago, which was fun because it was in the middle of my Child Development class during the time that we hold our lab preschool (Leprechaun Academy.. aww!) So we had to carry twenty crying three and four year olds into the basement....... -_-

Iacobus
I was in 6th grade and we had a tornado heading towards us. EKKZOIDS! Tweens and bad weather in school is a bad mix.
Cesar624
We don't really get any natural disasters here in NYC. I think there was like a tiny minute earthquake here about 2 years ago, and I didn't even feel it.

Iacobus
At least with Hurricanes, Earthquakes (kinda), Tsunamis, Volcanic Eruptions, Mud Slides (again a kinda), Forrest Fires you have some warning. Tornados if NOAA gives us 3 minutes it is a good day.

Tornados really aren't too common around here. When they do occur, I think they occur in the summer, when there isn't any school. Iacobus
We have them 2 times a year. Once in the spring (2 or three years ago they recalled the buses because of a tornado in May right as school buses left for the routes) and back when I was in 6th grade we had one in Sept.
