Nathan,

You have been marked by God, and baptized into the Church. We will pray for you soon return, and wait to rejoice with you over your re-unification.

peace...

Your life with Christ is supposed to be marked by an intense struggle and you will feel like carp. You will be brought to your knees. You are normal.

Nathan:

Jesus never said that the Christian life was going to be easy, in fact, He said that it would be hard. What do you think carrying our cross means? It means that we all will have burdens, trials, temptations, but what it boils down to is not, what am I being tempted with, but am I going to give in to it?

When I was younger I had plenty of reasons to abandon the Christian faith, and all of it was my home life. But then I remember that God calls us to give Him everything, including those things that seem to plague us the most. It is only when we give up everything, including the little things, to Christ, that healing and His work in us can begin. We must surrender everything.
Do you know what life is?  Life is a wife to feed, kids to clothe, a boss to put up with.  Christ said that He came to give us life.....more abundant
In other words, the abundant life we have is simply an increase in the things we're given. We're given a wife or husband to feed, we're given kids to clothe, and we're even given a boss to put up with.

But the Good News is this: He came to give us life more abundant, and He sent His Son so that He could know what we're going through, what it is to stuggle.

Nathan, I've never struggled with homosexuality, but I have my own struggles, and I know what it is to struggle. There's two things that we can do about it. One is to be lazy, and one is to grow.

If you want to be lazy, then give up, deny the faith and live a life that will end in destruction. But if you want to grow, hold on tight because this journey's fast and it doesn't stop. Hold unto the faith, hold unto the truth, and hold on to the fact that we're not alone in this world.

So...when bad things happen in your life, you need to choose how you deal with it, and don't waver later on. If you're going to be lazy now, then be lazy later, but I can guarantee that the best thing to do is to hang on.

Quit hurting your Mother Mary. Quit hurting your heavenly Father. And quit making Jesus' sacrifice in vain. Jesus came because He loves you. All of you! Just because He hates those things that you struggle with doesn't make His love for you any less.

But...the only advice I have for you is to decide now what you're going to do later, because who knows when you'll die, and who knows when we'll be taken away. Decide where you want to be on that day, and work to make sure that you're going to get there.

Life is hard so that we grow.

Only through great struggle come great insight.

I mean look at the Cross, the perfect innocent have it easy?

God prefers us to be happy, but happiness is not being comfortable.
