Mother Margaret and my friend Sr. Maria of the Holy Spirit, have written from St. Helens Carmel about the unexpected terminal cancer illness of Sr. Mary of St. Joseph. The nuns have begun a novena to Blessed Dominic Barberi (hope I have this right) who received Blessed John Henry Newman into the church, on her behalf. I ask you to join in prayers for her, and to pray for the direly needed vocations to this wonderful Carmel.
