ireallylovejesus
how do you de-friend someone when you've just grown apart? I've been friends with this girl since high school, but I haven't seen her in 4 years (or so), though we keep in touch through facebook....though I was invited to her wedding back in September, I couldn't go. I'm godmother to her son. She came into our hometown this past weekend for Thanksgiving, and though she said she'd give me a ring when she got into town, it never happened. We've just grown apart, and we're not as close as we once were, and honestly, I don't see the point in pretending we are. any advice? suggestions?
Ummmm the only people I removed from my friends list were a couple of ladies who bashed me on their walls. ^_^ But if growing apart is the only reason, I'm not pretty sure I would go ahead and de-friend her. After all, growing apart is normal especially when friends move to a different state or city or country even. Maybe facebook will help you catch up. cmotherofpirl
I am sending a Christmas present to my godson too, so maybe I will get something then?
Dearie as much as you want a response, don't look for it. If they acknowledge it fine, if they don't fine. You can always call after the first of the year and ask how you godson liked his present. You doing the right and proper thing can't be affected/effected? by their lack of good manners.
I think that's okay. I don't feel like it's a duty to tell someone that you would be defriending him or her.
