“While aborted fetal cells aren't actually in the product itself, the close relationship is enough to repulse most consumers,” says Bradley Mattes, executive director of Life Issues Institute. “To our knowledge, this is the first time a food product has been publicly associated with abortion."
Pro-life organizations are asking the public to boycott all Pepsi drink products and encourage consumers to contact Pepsi management requesting that they sever all ties with Senomyx.

As for the thread at large, I'd agree with Vee that prayer is what is needed most. I know when this thread comes up on a yearly basis, we tend to have the same arguments, with the same people, and the same individuals who have family who work for Pepsi ending up bashed. If one were to boycott every company that in some way is linked to abortion, we'd be growing all our own food in protest, not using the banks, not using most hospitals, not buying toys, and making all our own clothing. One can boycott everything ever made essentially, or one can pray for the conversion of those who engage in the horror of abortion and make use of it; I personally believe, from reading the conversions of people to the pro-life movement, that angry responses tend to turn people away from Life; prayerful protest makes a ton of difference.

As far as I know Target quit directly supporting Planned Parenthood a long time ago, but they are partners with The United Way and they have ties to PP.

I think that, for me at least, a company's participation in abortions needs to be far more involved before I consider boycotting. Pepsi is not Senomyx, and furthermore, the testing being done by Senomyx for Pepsi likely did not use any fetal cells, while it's probably true that Senomyx has done completely unrelated jobs for other companies involving fetal cells, from what I can tell.
