I have read that if a man *biologically* needs to release, his body will do it in his sleep. = involuntarily, for biological purposes, not a mortal sin.

Sup. The first time I actually masturbated was after reading a thread about it here on phatmass. No joke. I think I was 19 or 20 I forget. So mabey this shouldn't be talked about so young kids don't see it. I don't think my title was crude or anything. I said no more masturbation for delivery. Its what its called right ? Masturbation ? The only reason I know its a mortal sin and will send me to hell is because of phatmass. I wouldn't be so concerned and feel so guilty about it if not from reading here over and over again its a mortal sin and will send me to hell. I don't have sex and personally I don't see the big deal about this sin but then again I see why it is a sin. I don't understand the arguments about not talking about it or whatever. If people and the church are gonna come out and say its a mortal sin and its gonna send you to hell why can't it be talked about ? And about the weightlifting. I never said anything about protien. I said the longer one goes without having sex the higher their testosterone levels are. The more testosterone you have the easier it is to build muscle. Peace.

And there is noway to know the percent but the amount of men masturbating who aren't having sex with a partner are really high. Catholic men included. And I would venture to say most catholic men don't see it as a mortal sin and you would have a very tough time convincing them otherwise.

Sorry. Let me rephrase that. What I find most disturbing is the reason for not masturbating, to retain testosterone.
