Sarah147
Christmas Story -- I find that movie kind of annoying after a while. I've seen it so much.

Innocent
Here are my picks: (I can think of only two off the top of my head right now.) Remember the Night(1940) (More of a "Holiday Film" than a "Christmas Film", as are most supposedly Christmas-themed-Hollywood-films. And yet, this film that starts off as a comedy shows more moral fibre than many other such films.) My Night At Maud's (1969) (One of Eric Rohmer's films, (the third of his Six Moral Tales series.) this is a film that has a more serious tone than the above. Though not explicitly about Christmas, the time setting of the story is the week of Christmas. If I remember right, Rohmer is known to have explored Catholic ideas like the hidden working of grace in his films. This is a French-language-film. Those of us who don't know the language will have to make do with subtitles.) Edited November 17, 2011 by Innocent

OnlySunshine
I have not started watching Christmas movies because I don't like to begin until after Thanksgiving. But I have some absolute favorites that have become a family tradition to watch: A Christmas Story It's a Wonderful Life Miracle on 34th Street (1947) Home Alone Home Alone 2: Lost In New York The Nativity Story National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (I love Aunt Bethany and Uncle Lewis) The Santa Clause While You Were Sleeping (I LOVE this movie!) One of the best clips: Edited November 17, 2011 by MaterMisericordiae
