This video is so great! I hope the USCCB does one for religious life, soon!

Maybe if we started a petition... :)

The priest that gives the dying man last rites is actually a CFR and at the time he was not even a priest. When there were so many priest available... they chose a brother. :) I love it!

I'm puzzled. I thought that only a priest can give last rites since it involves the sacrament of confession.

Well last rites isn't a sacrament. This can just constitute prayers - so anyone can say those. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick' is usually seen as 'last rites' but anyone can get this if they are unwell. My parish does it weekly. This needs a priest unless there's some major emergency. Most people get this in advance when they know they are dying or sick. It is therefore separate to prayers at the bedside.
Confession should be by a priest unless its an unexpected emergency i.e. the person will die before a priest could arrive. The same goes for Baptism. :farmer:

Where did you get that from? As far as I know in any circumstances only a priest can hear a confession

And last rites is a sacrament

The seven sacraments are:

Baptism

Confession

Confirmation

Holy Eucharist

Matrimony

Holy Orders

Last Rites or Anointing of the Sick

In the Parish/School that I currently work in this year, we saw this movie today! Two of the guy teachers and I ate lunch in one of the homerooms and spent our break talking and watching "Fishers of Men"! I love being around fellow Catholics! This movie brings tears to my eyes and makes me pray for all current and future priests!
