FutureCarmeliteClaire
Hmm, I get a bit wary when people start saying it's their calling to reform things. It reminds me of a saying by Leo Tolstoy: "Everybody thinks of changing the world, but nobody thinks of changing himself." I expect there are some unflattering and highly accurate descriptions that would suit me just fine, and which would make 'hippie' look like a compliment. But I hope the people who have to put up with me have the grace never to use them...
Yeah, don't worry, he's insane He'll come around... I think. OnlySunshine
I choose 3: Franciscan Dominican Other The other being the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, MI who are totally Marian in every sense of the word. They also pray heavily for priests and do work for the pro-life movement. However, if I could join the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, I would! I also think the Nashville Dominicans and Summit Dominicans are just AMAZING! It's so hard for me to choose. I wholeheartedly adore the RSMs, especially since I'm visiting them next weekend and God seems to be telling me something since He keeps putting them before me. LaPetiteSoeur
Franciscan: because I love the FEs! I called them today and they are going to call me back tomorrow (I was going to call them yesterday, but I instead got crutches! ) Also, I was taught by the Felicians, and owe them a huge amount of gratitude. It's because of them that I received so much support!
vee
My definition of a Jesuit hippie btw is along the lines of one who rather chant Buddhist sutras than pray the Rosary or teach them the Rosary. edited to add that that definition covers all Orders Edited November 5, 2011 by vee8
