I had bumped one of the older threads for this awhile ago, but then I figured I made a mistake & I thought the Donate-buttony-thingy just wasn't showing all of the donations.

I know CatherineM had another thread about it but I was too lazy to go look for it. :|

Looks like Dust changed the target amount to $350, we only need to raise $80 more. Thank you all for your generosity. :icey:

Yeah, I re-calculated. About 1800 miles of driving, at about 20 miles per gallon, at about $3.50 per gallon, plus the cost of soda pop and tacos. We estimate that it'll be about $350 round trip. Down from the $450 which was originally calculated using a van that only got about 15 miles per gallon--we've downgraded to a mini van. Four grown men with a ton of merch all packed in... wish us luck. (Flip actually only counts for 1/2 a man so it's not that bad)

Well, thanks to the generosity of the phamily we've only got $50 more to raise. Hopefully in the next few days we'll hit the mark, and someone might even put it over the top enough so you can buy coffee. haha

I didn't understand how to donate. I clicked on a button and it asked me to fill in a US dollar amount but nothing else - no link to secure site for credit card info or anything - I got scared and backed off. I have AUD (Australian $$) and a credit card but I need a secure site before I give those details to anyone.... can you tell me how the donate button works?

So today I donated the $20 I would have spent grabbing thai food near my office on a dinner break to the NCYC fund and spent my dinner break fasting and praying for dUSt and those attending NCYC. Well, God gives back a hundredfold. After I finished praying, a text popped up on my phone. My roommate had made me dinner as a surprise! I love it when stuff like that happens.

I understand. That's weird. Mine took me to a page that leads to paypal. Thank you for trying! :)

faithcecelia told me how to do it - and I donated the last $20 that met the target goal! I just wanted to be sure it was a secure site, and it finally did lead me there.. after asking for name and address, but I wasn't about to enter credit card details until I saw that little lock in the corner that told me it was a secure site! I just hadn't clicked enough times to get there yet.

I hope they have a good time.

Nunsense since you gave $20, you can have a free book. Just PM me your address.

Catherine - I live in Australia and the postage would be too much for you. As much as I'd love to read it - I think maybe you should donate it to someone closer, maybe someone who donated their 'mite' even though they couldn't make it a much as $20. I have been blessed with generous benefactors in the past and that made it possible for me to donate to phatmass at this time - so I feel as if my donation is really their donation. I'd like to pass it forward.

They send books to Australia all the time. One woman in Western Australia got it in the mail on her way in the house to use the bathroom. She started reading it on the toilet, and when she got up 3 hours later, her legs had gone to sleep, and she fell into the shower and had to have stitches. I could send you a pdf version if you wouldn't mind reading it that way.
