BG45
I'd totally be doing a meltdown; but if the syllabus says he accepts late work for a reduced grade, go to the department chair with the e-mail exchange and the syllabus. The syllabus is there not only to cover his butt, but also to cover you in the event he decides to change his mind on something. (That said, is there a line anywhere on it that says, "Information on this syllabus may be changed at the discretion of the professor" or similar?) Fortunately though, my advisor/department chair/boss (same person) is pretty much on my side. Good thing she loves me. rachael
So, I received an e-mail last Thursday that class had been cancelled. YAY. Well, it turns out that it hadn't been cancelled, the other one had. Oh, yea I had a paper due. Well, I start freaking out when I find out today. I e-mail him, he states 'Class was held and the paper was due.' Okaaay. I ask him if it was alright that I turn my paper in, even for less credit. I have gotten no response. This paper is 20% of my grade and if I get below a B in this course, I have to wait a year and repeat.
The whole waiting a year to repeat - that means I would graduate a year later as well.
