Queen'sDaughter
My dad is fairly supportive of my discerment, but my mom is deeply opposed to my entering the convent. However, they both realize that I am of legal age and that my life to is mine (or rather God's), and so the only request they have made of me is that I complete my degree before I enter. So I am set to graduate in May and enter is September! Even though my mom doesn't support my vocation, I know the reasons why, and I am also sure that as time goes on she will become more open, a process I can already see occuring. (I dressed up like a nun for halloween, and though Mom was a little startled, she didn't seem to be that put out about it. Progress!) So to all of you who lack parental support: Keep going forward, pray much, and give all of your concerns to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus. He will keep them for you, and if it is His Will, your parent's attitude will change. If if is not His Will, than know that He has given you this cross to assist you to Heaven.
