yeah, well he's concerned about the fact that I am driving with 2 men that I have never met in real life, and staying at a third man's house that i also have never met in real life. If I can't help him be more comfortable with me going, then I'm not going.

kolbe - i had asked him if talking with you (or Matt or Arfink) would help, and he said no because "people can say anything they want over the phone - it doesn't make it true"

[/quote]Obviously you and he are c-ool. It was kinda meant for others who may ask why won't he trust your judgement, etc. I don't stick my hand in a garbage disposal if someone I don't know turned the breaker off. I have to have a lot of confidence to trust part of me to someone else.

He can certainly talk to anyone he would want...

1) my wife
2) my mom (my dad has passed)
3) my children
4) my DRE
5) my priest
6) I am FB friends with my 12th grade World Lit teacher
7) personal friend who is a pastor at saddleback church
8) my wife's grandma (well, she's my nana too! )
9) my father in law
10) my mother in law
11) any of my sister's in law
12) 2-3 of my childhood friends that I stay in contact with on FB
13) my neighbors
14) The vice presidents at my work
15) my boss (this one might be difficult, he's rich and busy)
16) one of my old bosses...
17) executive director of the volunteer regional association I am involved with.

these are just off the top of my head... but they will be 'phone calls', so if he doesn't trust me on a call, not sure how much he will trust others... but however I can help, let me know. Let me know, and I will make whatever plans and arrangements to get people on the phone for him.

I don't know, to be honest. he told me to go ahead and go, and he would just try to be comfortable. but, if he's not going to be comfortable, then it's going to bother me. dykwim?
