i<3LSOP
In some States you can drink earlier if with your parents at home.
How 'bout NY? Joking, I don't have an interest.
OK, correct me if I'm just being stupid here and missing the "it's all a big joke" moment, but this meetup is sounding more and more like it's just about drinking. Maybe that's just the way the topic has turned, but I don't drink at all and don't encourage others to be inebriated either. I'm sure you're all perfectly responsible adults, and it's already been decided that some drinking will take place. Obviously since we're Catholic we're gonna avoid being drunk. What else are we doing besides that?
No I think I turned the topic to drinking...
IcePrincessKRS
Is it different anywhere in America? In Italy they served me wine legally... I was ten and I drank some.
Not that I am aware of. Some states (like the one I live in) allow for parents to serve their children alcohol at their discretion within their own home, but it's not legal for anyone under 21 to buy alcohol or drink it in restaurants or bars, etc.
I was just playing off what what i<3lsop said about the adults being drunk (even liquor aside having minors involved without proper chaperones is a bad idea). I am pretty sure there are plans in the works to visit some nearby Churches and things. It's not about getting drunk, it's about meeting and hanging out with the people we've grown to enjoy hanging out with on the phorum. Yeah, there will be some drinking, but I don't think anyone is going to be so inebriated that they are hugging the porcelain goddess at Miko's house.
Sounds good. I'm gonna need to put together a laptop with pieces from the "bone pile" so I can have something to bring with. I got most of an old IBM ThinkPad that needs a newer HDD and a replacement optical drive. I could probably get that running decently enough to handle my Wacom. I fully intend to do portraits of you guys, with or without your consent.
