Hahaha! I know their feelings on MLP... they will all be standing together :P

Respect.

I totally understand and really don't care to be with a bunch or drunk adults while they watch MLP and the nerdy ones in the background drink water and talk about theology, and the discerning ones only pray etc.... :P

Joking, love ya'll!

Also, I could possibly be in Queens... Sr. Mary Grace and Sr. Regina said something about us coming back in Spring so... you're going to be annoyed at this but I prefer going there. :paperbag:

We'd be in another room passing the bottle... if I were going, that is. They'll be passing the bottle without me. lol And as much as you don't want to be around buzzing/drunk adults, we don't want to be chaperoning underage pholks. It's not really fitting for this type of gathering.

I know. It would be hard and annoying for kids to be there. I've heard it for as long as I can remember... ;)

Well, it's not that, I know we could have a great time at a mixed gathering with youth and adults, but to have youth at this one would be a liability. We're not willing to take on the legal ramifications for having minors at this particular event. Hopefully in the future we will be able to have another one where everyone is welcome, youth can come with a parent or something, perhaps.

Liability... that word is weird to say...

LOL sorry... but yes I understand that you would probably be worried the entire time about allergies, bad stuff contained in MLP, someone getting hurt, etc.

:)

I thought "liability" was perfect. lol Liable, responsible, etc. If anything happened to a young person at an event like this the adults involved could be sued or arrested or something. It's not something we're willing to risk at this point. Plus, we just really don't want to have to chaperone anyone.

In Pennsylvania you must be 21 to drink alcohol.

Is it different anywhere in America? In Italy they served me wine legally... I was ten and I drank some.

Yup. I thought earlier in the thread it was stated that those attending the meet-up had to be 18 or older, though. Doesn't mean that they can drink, just that they are responsible for themselves! :hehe:

OK, correct me if I'm just being stupid here and missing the "it's all a big joke" moment, but this meetup is sounding more and more like it's just about drinking. Maybe that's just the way the topic has turned, but I don't drink at all and don't encourage others to be inebriated either.

I'm sure you're all perfectly responsible adults, and it's already been decided that some drinking will take place. Obviously since we're Catholic we're gonna avoid being drunk. What else are we doing besides that?

[/quote]In some States you can drink earlier if with your parents at home.
