the171
This was posted in VS, but I thought I'd bring it here. WHERE THE HECK CAN I FIND A MODEST CONFIRMATION DRESS?? without breaking the bank. I feel as if this is an issue for many. I has to be white at my parish. Not strictly though; for they see the toil we most go through to even buy a modest pair of pantaloons... AGONIZING. We looked at the Mormon stuff, but it looks like my nightgown. Anyway, WHERE?? I could practically punch a kitten from all the annoyance of immodesty and lack of affordability... sorry for that Mittens. haha just kidding. faithcecelia
You will probably find dresses with straps rather than sleeves easier to find, so why not add a little bolero? Thats what I did with my sun dresses over the summer.
the171
Too short is usually the problem. Neckline, too. Undershirts don't cover enough up. haah thus the plot thickens

OnlySunshine
What about something like this (sold for $20)? Simple Summer Dress with Sleeves It can be made in whatever color you desire and is very modest. I don't know what your price cut-off is, but here is a beautiful option: White Short Sleeve Chiffon Dress Here's another: Modern Sweet White S/S Cotton Lolita Dress You can't wear girl's sizes, can you? It really is a shame, because I found some lovely First Communion gowns that would be perfect if they were in larger sizes (and under $50!). I'll keep looking! If so, I absolutely love that magazine. Instead of reading "normal" magazines, I sit and look at fabric for hours. Ah, the joys of being a quilter!
