I agree. De-friend that person at once! He/She (99.99% chance it's a "she") is not worthy of your time, the evil Dominican loving dog! :P

Besides, Franciscans are the most popular Order on the planet. There are over 1.3 million Franciscans (Including Third Orders and affiliates) while the Dominicans are the third or fourth, I can't remember which.

I LOVE the CFRs! And all Franciscans!

We have a large amount of OFM's in my diocese, and I've gotten to know quite a few of them. Thats my biggest vocational dilemma right now: Diocesan Priesthood VS Religious Priesthood.

Prayers for that discernment. From my work in dioceses (two, now), there tend to be a lot more resources for diocesan priesthood discerners. Have you contacted any orders yet? (I certainly hope they are franciscan! :nun:)

My favorite Franciscans are likely the Franciscan Brothers Minor, a new group. But yes, the Franciscan family is very neat and I like them a lot. :)

My favorite website of a Franciscan community is the Poor Clare Colletine nuns of Ty Mam Duw in Wales. Whenever I visit their webpage, I smile.

And yes, there are many amazing Franciscans and Franciscan communities out there, certainly for the guys as well. I wish you the best in your journey to become a Conventual Franciscan friar :)

Thanks!

Yes, I have contacted A LOT of orders. lol. And my diocesan vocations director too.

I have contacted the following orders:

Franciscans.
Franciscan OFM's
Franciscan TOR's
Franciscan CFR's
Franciscan Cap.
Franciscan Conv.
Franciscan FFI's
The Congregation of the Holy Cross.
The Salisians of Don Bosco. (sp?)
The Brothers of the Sacred Heart. (Even though they are a "Lay-Brother Only" order.)

I think that is about it.
