PhuturePriest
I can't be the only man that loves the Franciscans to death, can I? Everywhere I go it's the Franciscan Nuns and Sisters that get all of the glory, when the Franciscan Friars do a lot of the missionary and town work. The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal have just about saved us from the brink of destruction, in my opinion.

PhuturePriest
These Franciscans are especially razzle dazzle: http://franciscans.org/index.php/en/ I've contacted them, and hopefully I'll be a member of the Conventual Franciscans in three years, and eight years after that I'll be a Franciscan Priest. Time goes by so agonizingly slow...
Maximilianus
My new Bishop is a Conventual Franciscan. Not sure if he'll be bringing any friars into the Diocese though.
OnlySunshine
I LOVE the Franciscans of the Renewal! I attribute my return to the Church to the Friars because, in one weekend, they taught me all about the Eucharist and I was drawn in! I made a full reversion to the Church in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (I hadn't been to Confession in 10 years!).
LOL, I wish I could remember the whole thing, but it was an analogy about the devil taking control of our lives. Fr. Glenn referred to it as "the crazy lady on the bus" who wants to take control, but we shouldn't let her. If you do, you are bound to end up in an awful place. It was so funny because he was doing voices and had everyone in stitches. I can't wait to see him again.
Unfortunately, I just remember the gist of it, which I posted above. If you ever get the chance to go to a retreat or meeting with Fr. Glenn -- DO IT! You will not regret it! He is AMAZING!
