Why Is The Fall Of The Angels Only Mentioned In Revelations 12:7-9

I always thought that the fall of the angels was in Genesis. When I learned that it wasn't mentioned till Revelations 12:7-9 I became puzzled, because I thought: "But the events of Rev. have not happened yet?"

Some insight would be much appreciated.

While it is true that the Bible does not go into great detail about the fall of Satan and the other angels, it is hardly confined to those verses from Revelation.

Here is a brief overview of some Biblical references to the fall of Satan: http://www.beliefnet.com/Inspiration/Angels/2006/09/Angel-Faqs-The-Fall-Of-Satan.aspx

Certainly, Satan had already fallen before he tempted Eve in the garden in the beginning of Genesis.

Maybe they have... maybe they haven't... maybe it's a both/and thing.
