IcePrincessKRS
I just talked to my mom and she thought I was talking about the 30+ year old hand mixer they gave me when I went to college. But no, that one still works! And she told me they have another one at home, still in the box, because they got that and a stand mixer for their wedding, and kept it as back up, but never needed it (the one they gave me had been my dad's before they got married). So, I'm going to try to just use those for now, at least until the holidays, and see if anything goes on sale for a really good price. But I'm still really sad that my waffle iron doesn't work, and they don't make that kind anymore! I loved my duck and cow shaped waffles! Lil Red
Kitchenaids are expensive but in its case you get what you pay for. My mom and sister both have that brand and we use them at work as well. In the mean time you could just keep going through hand mixers til you have the money and space for the investment of a ktichenaid. Its like buying a Le Creuset pot, youll never need another one again. drool
yeah, but $150 for a frying pan?
Amazon is good for just about everything. lol It was the first place I looked. BG45
My dad is hopefully re-finishing an old table for me to use for extra space, so I'm holding out on that for now, but once Peanut comes, we'll have to get SOMETHING because 2 sq. feet of space, plus a spot to put dirty dishes just isn't cutting it for me!
Your dad rocks!! And amen heh, just heating stuff up and having it spread all over to clean would take more than that.
MissScripture
It does, I've been using a step stool as a counter. And I have been using the stove top as a counter, even though I really don't like doing that. It's a glass top stove, so it's flat, but I worry that I will set something on there when it's too hot and ruin it (either the item or the stove top), plus EVERYTHING cooks to the stove top, which is super obnoxious! TheresaThoma
Ok now I want a waffle maker that makes duck waffles! Ours just makes boring round ones.
