I Love Fall

Last Tuesday we went to an apple orchard and got apples and pumpkins. This week I am going to make apple pie, and maybe apple pizza. And when we carve the pumpkins (closer to Halloween, so they don't get moldy) we are going to roast the pumpkin seeds.
And it gives me such a nice excuse to drink hot chocolate when it's cold in the morning.
I love fall. :proud:

I love fall too :) There are 3 apple orchards within 20 minutes of my house, and 3 farms within 10 minutes. The leaves are so vibrant, and at 12:30am I had to yield to a deer crossing the road at a very leisurely pace. <3

It's spring here - after a long wet winter... happy am I to take off the overclothes and bask in the warmth of the sun again! :)

I used to think deer were razzle dazzle.

I've been almost killed by deer about five times now. Now I just think they are scary. hah.

I haven't gone on a hayride in years but I may get to go on one with my friends soon so that's exciting! There are certain things about fall I really like, like the leaves and the holidays coming up!

It's going to be in the 40s here next week!!! And this is the place in the South where it is NEVER cold! (As in, I asked people when fall was coming, and they said never. Or may January!)

That's one thing I'll miss about being in the NE: the fantastic falls!

I don't like them when I am in a car, but when I am safely in my house and they are eating my lawn, they don't bother me so much.

Its been nice here, because after our drought, we've had precipitation for the last two weeks. We had rolling thunderstorms for three days straight, and now we wake up to cooler temps and wet mornings filled with dew. The grass is coming back, and the leaves on our trees are falling off. Also, my neighbors new batch of cows that she orders every season, keep breaking the fence and mosey-ing over to our land to munch the new grass. That's okay until the GINORMOUS bull comes over with the long horns... that's when me, my goat and my dog hide in the goat's hut...

Can't wait for winter to come...i've always loved cold temps next to hot temps, plus my winter wardrobe is knock-out city!!!

This picture reminds me of the doe that would always come and eat grass outside the dining hall at camp. She wasn't shy at all, and we would walk right past her, and she didn't even give us the time of day :( lol. But the kids and teens always enjoyed watching her outside during meals.
