corban711
the Community of St. John was founded in 1975 and now has around 600-700 brothers (some of these are priests, but are referred to as brothers in the numbers they give) and over 300 sisters divided between contemplative and apostolic. the missionaries of charity founded in 1950 and has over 4,000 sisters!!! the community of the beatitudes, founded in 1973 has over 1,500 members...250 couples, 400 consecrated sisters and brothers--100 of which are seminarians, 75 priests and the remainder in celibates--i assume that means consecrated lay people, though not sure---. not bad at all!!! hehe
morostheos
I've heard for the women that the fastest growing order in the world is Mother Theresa's order (the Daughters of Charity??? is that right??) and second to them are the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi.
