Oh Chiquitunga-thank you! Those were beautiful. The nuns did a very excellent job of translating the peace and joy of the cloister into video form. I was surprised by how much the videos made me feel that I was visiting an enclosure, if that makes any sense.

Are these videos on youtube? I do not believe they are. I wish the nuns had email, I would write them a quick note and ask if they would allow them to be put up. The pictures are very anonymous for the most part, and these Carmel videos are so popular on the net! But it is probably for the best, I have a feeling they would not want this, or they would already have been put up by a friend of the Monastery.

EDIT: Quoting not working properly? My apologies Chiquitunga! Edited by emmaberry101

Hi Emma! Yes, they were on youtube for like a week last year and then the account was erased, so I would assume they didn't want them there. It was a friend of the community's who did all of this work on their site and the videos. The videos were originally created as a vocation Dvd. I am pretty sure they are geared slightly more toward a younger audience, like Religious Ed. classes. They have groups of RE students visit them sometimes (I wish we visited a cloister in CCD!! never knew they existed, or at least were in the area/regular ppl join them, lol, etc. until I was like 18 :o ) But yes, they are beautiful...
