missionseeker
PLEASE PRAY for Kortney Blythe Gordon of Students for Life of America and her 21 week old unborn baby Sophy who both died in a car accident last night. Pray also for her family especially her new husband Benjamin. Kortney was a dedicated and joyful pro-life hero who dedicated her life to defending the defenseless baby boys and girls in the womb from abortion. May you both rest in peace with our Savior Jesus Christ. Please also keep in your prayers the two students and co-worker that were in the car. The students are in stable condition but her co-worker is still in the ICU.
her coworker is my good friend Jon.

missionseeker
FB update from SFLA All, By now, you've probably heard that we are grieving the loss of our Field Director, Kortney Blythe Gordon, and her pre-born daughter Sophy who were involved in a fatal car accident last night. Another member of our staff was in the car during the accident and is not doing well. Currently, he is in critical condition in hospital in Georgia, where the accident happened. I flew down to be with him earlier today and will be in Georgia indefinitely to offer her prayers and support to his family. We are hoping for the best, but his prognosis is not good. We ask that you please flood heaven with your prayers for his quick recovery and stable health. This horrible accident has hit our community and our families devastatingly hard, and we appreciate your prayers for his health, his family, and the family of Kortney. We are planning to host a webcast tomorrow night for those who want to pray and offer their words of support for Kortney's familyy and of encouragement for Jon. Please check back tomorrow for more details. We will keep you updated with his status as more details are revealed. Please devote a portion of your night to praying for his recovery and the continued mission of Students for Life. Kristan
missionseeker
I just heard from the person who told me about Jon, that the message that his brain was bleeding and he might not make it through the night was not the latest update. He had the surgery already and I believe he is resting now. But he is still in the ICU and in critical condition.

missionseeker
I am told that he is "in stable condition, but still in ICU" While this is definitely lovely to hear, I am wary of rejoicing, as he just had brain and there are any number of things that could suddenly go wrong.
