carmenchristi
8 minutes MAX otherwise they get that green color around the yolk... some people consider that to be toxic (well, almost)! Take it from someone who cooked for franciscan friars! (i.e. world's pickiest eaters)... About the peeling... it's the old eggs thing.
homeschoolmom
Each of my children, independently of one another, referred to the yolk of a hard-boiled egg as "the cheeese" when they were toddlers. My dd was so excited to eat her first hard-boiled egg (by herself) that she squealed with delight that there was cheeese inside.
IcePrincessKRS
My kids call them "hand eggs" (because you eat it in your hand instead of with a fork). I have caught myself calling them that when talking to other adults and then have to correct myself. lol
TeresaBenedicta
In the water (touch of salt), bring to a boil, put on lid, turn off stove, time for 7 1/2 minutes. Immediately replace hot water with cold tap water. Let razzle dazzle. Peel and enjoy! Yeah!
MissScripture
Don't start the stove on fire. This is usualy my number one goal in making hard boiled eggs after the first time I attempted it. I honestly have no idea HOW it happened, but all of the sudden, there were flames around the pot on the burner (and it was an electric stove). There must've been something on the burner. I turned off the stove and called it good. The eggs were mostly done...

My kids call American ch.eese slices "Flat che.ese" and string che.ese "Chee.se sticks" and I am sure I have call them that when talking to others. Sometimes I catch myself and sometimes not. I used to keep a carton of hard boiled eggs in my fridge at all times. I got out of the habit but lately Xander has really been into eggs in general so I should probably start doing that again so he makes fewer raw egg messes... And as for the original question...yes, blind people can cook. The cook for my old pastor was a blind lady.
