well, ur the one getting ur panties in a wad because I disagreed with your comment... sheesh... some people can't have a decent discussion on topics because they get all bent out of shape that "heaven forbid" anyone disagree with them...

and in regards to what I said about the so-called "journalist.." I have more faith in police forces than I do any reporter from MSNBC... :hehe2:
You are just over generalizing because I don't agree with you.

nope, that is pretty much is the way you respond to people who disagree with you, not an over-generalization at.all. I think we see it often enuff on phatmass and in phatchat to all be experts on the way you respond to peeps... if you are like this in real life, then i take back what i said about fearing cops.. they just might beat the living crud outta you ... be afraid, be very very afraid.... :hehe2:

I have the perfect video for this thread because I showed it earlier to a classroom of students, but the mods would smack it down for the language. Chris Rock did a skit on how to not get beat by the cops.

Police brutality is really overblown, but it does need to be reported on when it does occur. The NYPD in the course of these two weeks of protests has been surprisingly brutal to unarmed protesters. A Houston PD recently sat on a video of a man being beaten after surrendering for several months until it was leaked to the internet. These are horrible, horrible, incidents; but they are definitely not the norm.

As long as people believe we have "ask" politician to stop abuses of power, the abuses of power will continue.
You really are becoming more... creepy... by the day. So you really don't think politicians should be held accountable or are you that daft not to get it? Actually, never mind, I know the answer. It's all the above.

Okay. Why not? You aren't generalizing but I am. Even after explaining to you what was meant and the only way you can rationalize yourself is by intentionally cutting a sentence into parts... to be put out of context... and not even replying the the eternity of my post. You must be a genius expert on me.

Or... you are a radtrad troll that can't handle that someone doesn't believe like them and has a critical opinion of the police... Because I stated my opinion which you decided to mock... and are continuing to mock. But I'm the one that has a problem with people not agreeing with me. Right. Perfect sense. Or rather... retarded sense.

I hope you make it back to the convent. Maybe they can teach you this crazy idea on Christian charity. Being a Catholic and all, you might be into that sort of thing. But maybe not?

rotfl
Please go back to the convent, so I can be assured you will spend your day doing nothing (praying) and you can repent of all your sins so don't fear your loving god dooming you for all eternity.

Try some other interpretations of my sentence, which in no way says politicians shouldn't be held accountable. Your dislike for me is affecting your reading comprehension. You and I are actually mostly in agreement, here.

Generally I am indifferent to you, but I play by tit for tat, minimal retaliation of same kind and such. But I think you and I would agree here... I would like to think everyone would agree here. Those videos were flooping disturbing.

Except dominicansoul, she thinks its the liberal commentator who has no respect for police. Any concerns about the police is clearly paranoia.

If you were indifferent to me, you wouldn't be pulling quotes from other threads to respond to me, and probably you would ignore my grammar policery.

DS merely appealed to avoiding gross generalisations, which activated your freak-o-tron.

No, I just think you dislike the me you encounter on the interwebs. "Dislike" and "out to get" are not synonymous.

I support viewing people as individuals.

You could clarify your statement as applying to police forces as a concept. I agree that police departments exist not to protect the people, but to protect the State. Or you could defecate all over yourself and use literary devices.
