Good!

Now remember that for next time and you won't have any points deducted. We mustn't let our work get sloppy :nono:

I love rainy days because they are an excuse to stay inside and be cozy :P

We have been having a thunderstorm, and twice the power cut out but then came back on again - our town must have great back-up systems!

Power on, warm and cozy inside.... cold and wet and windy outside. Time for a cuppa tea :)

In the Dominican Republic everyone has this special transformer type thing that, while the power is on it loads up and when it is out it can power a basic level of energy throughout the house.

You need one of those :). It was co.ol -- because yeah we'd lose the air, and the big fridge but the small fridge and the tvs and the lights all worked. :)

Sounds like a generator! :)

I lived without power for eight months, so I can survive if we lose the power here :P

Actually cow manure might make a good energy source??

Solar power is the way to go - with storage batteries. Here, one can have solar power, but there is some complicated arrangement with the power companies where the excess power is given to them instead of paying for power - or something. In the bush, they store the solar power in batteries and use it later.... all I had was the petrol generator for lights at night and small things like recharging the laptop.
