Failing To Recycle A Mortal Sin? Worried.

I cannot recycle I guess, since I dont really have a recycling program in my apartment building and I cant keep trash like cans or paper in my apartments for obvious reasons. I know pollution is a sin, and I try my best everyday to not use too much electricity, or save paper or using it more. Am I in mortal sin since I dont recycle. I want to, and if I really could, I would, maybe I can, I mean i do re use some things like plastic bags and old shirts for cleaning or dusting but not really recylce like cans and stuff, although many times poor people look into the trash of our building and they recycle our trash but not paper etc. Do you have to recycle perfectly?

Relax. It is NOT a mortal sin to fail to recycle. It sounds like you are a good steward of the world around you and as it is possible for you to recycle I suggest you do that. However, even if you don't, it's not a mortal sin, not even close. If you throw aluminum cans in the trash you're still going to Heaven. :) Seriously, don't worry, you're good.
