I like my stripey knee socks. My kids' socks rarely match. To quote a friend "life is too short to sort socks"

Im a bit ocd with socks. When I was in Carmel I had 3 pairs the same (plain black) and initialled each pair with a different colour thread so I could keep the pairs together

I hate when you end up with one sock that is all worn out and one sock that is almost new! So uncomfortable. Or maybe that's just me. :ninja: But my husband leaves the sock sorting to me for that reason. Well, that and he's not even that good at making sure the pairs match in every other regard...

Im glad Im not the only one! :hehe2: I find it especially awful with black when they fade to shades of grey and then they greys don't match.

Most of my socks are white, so I don't have that issue. But I've been thinking I should go to colored socks, so that they would be easier to match.

On a side note, baby socks are absolutely adorable, and I LOVE looking at the baby socks we have and thinking about when I get to put them on my little baby's feet! I mean, aren't these just the cutest?

Oh how cute! I knit socks, and while baby socks are far more fiddly than adult, they are just so gorgeous its worth the effort.

knee socks are the best! Especially the ones from my high school days. Most comfortable socks EVER.

Ankle socks. Fun Christmas and Halloween socks. I love socks. I also love being barefoot, although I am told that is a Southern thing.

Isn't this topic a little lame? I mean, shouldn't it really be on the be do lame board? Since it's here, I have two questions

1. Are you one of those people who turns their socks inside out when putting them in the wash? If so, WHY?

2. Do you fold your socks or do you roll them up and turn them on their edge in your sock drawer so that pleasing nautilus-shell shape is visible? (Guess which I do.)

im a free footer, meaning i rarely wear socks. Texas heat tends to do that to you.

but when i do wear socks, they NEVER match. people know me by my non-matching socks. i just dont have the time to match all of 'em.

I'm in the south South, too, but I love socks too much to give them up. Also, my family believes we live in a desert (which we very well might), so their house is ALWAYS cold. And at school, my room is a toasty 68 (my roommate gets hot. And I can layer and wear socks, so I'm good!)

It wouldn't be so band if Kolbe wore a kilt instead of shorts...the socks are the perfect length for kilt-wearing!

To wash, no. But I do often wear my socks inside-out because the seams bother me.

One does not wear socks with a kilt. One wears hose with a kilt.
