faithcecelia
I bought another this afternoon which I think brings me up to about 8. I tend to read my Youth Bible (New Century Version) most, not because I especially like the translation but because its full of 15yrs notes and highlighting, and if I am studying in any depth I have a comparative text (4 in 1) plus others. I just wondered how many is average here?

Grrrrrr!
cmaD2006
English: NAB, NRSV, and I think I still have my first Bible (a king james) around. I need to look but I may have "The Message" somewhere in a box. I never used it for anything serious ... I got it just for grins and giggles. Spanish: Biblia Latinoamericana, Nueva Biblia de Jerusalem, Biblia de Jerusalem Latinoamericana, Dios Habla Hoy, Biblia Navarra, Biblia del Pueblo de Hoy (I think that's the name ... it was published in Argentina), and another spanish version that I don't remember published in Colombia OK -- so mine are a combo of spanish and english. But it still counts. My favorite is the Biblia de Jerusalem Latinoamericana. In english, eh, NAB. But I usually use the spanish unless I need to do a talk in english. If I am really studying I like to compart lots of translations, so I can get a broader picture. One I don't have but want to get is the Jewish Study Bible. Obviously its just the Hebrew Scriptures but its really helpful to help understand the Christian Scriptures too as is shows you how Jews feel about their Scriptures. I think Christians tend to forget that Jesus was a Jew, and not a posh one either, so miss an awful lot in the Christian Scriptures by losing the Jewishness.
