Adrestia
Today's results were just weird. Either the DNA sequence isn't what I expected, or my enzyme is promiscuous. The stuff I use to stain my DNA gels is relatively dangerous. Ethidium Bromide. I actually do wear gloves for this stuff.
Adrestia
Newsflash! People who eat less lose more weight!! It's easier to change habits (eating or other) when doing so with a group!! http://abcnews.go.com/Health/weight-watchers-effective-diet/story?id=14465015 Weight loss or gain is determined by one equation: calories in - calories out. Food = Calories in. Basal metabolism (BMR)+ activity = calories out. Increasing lean muscle mass results in increased basal metabolism, but not enough to make up for that sweet, creamy, delicious dessert. Food Calories are actually kilocalories (meaning 1,000 calories). If the nutrition facts label says 350 Calories, it's actually 350,000 calories. (Most people don't know this!!) This website explains it better: http://lovehandlesgone.info/
BG45
Dear goodness, portion control works?! I could've told them that. The rest is interesting though.
Papist
I thought if I ate fast enough I'd burn more calories than taken in. I am still practicing to be able to eat fast enough.

Adrestia
I come across people who think an extra 20 minutes on the elliptical machine completely makes up for an extra cupcake with frosting. If it's a vigorous 20 minutes, the calories might balance. There's no way to compensate for excess fat & sugar along with the lack of nutritional value. IcePrincessKRS
I recommend eggs, unless you're allergic. They have a great balance of essential and non-essential amino acids.
I read that they contain every known vitamin and mineral (at least in trace amounts) except Vitamin C. I love telling people that. Eggs and OJ = perfect breakfast! :D

Those skanky little enzymes. They should be ashamed.
